The 35 acre Gold Link area was originally included in the North Village PUD approved in 1982. The PUD specified 150 townhouses on the site. With the delay in developing North Village, Crested Butte Mountain Resort (then owned by the Callaways) revised the development plan to 32 home sites, approved in 1993. The developed home sites were marketed to home builders and individuals. At this time, 20 homes have been constructed.
